Dear stranger,
I promise myself to write at least every week when I was coming to Paris. I have not been doing a good job of writing about my experience. I’m definitely having a great experience here. I love french food, the culture, and how nice everyone dresses here. I love the sense of freedom in Paris, I care so much less about certain things that I paid so much attention to back home. This is a good thing because life here is much easier than it was back home, i guess also because I’m not working or have anything to worry about. I will greatly miss France when I go back to the US. My school is also full of wealthy students that only carry Louis Vuitton or Longchamp while taking what is suppose to be fifteen minute break into an hour break. Standing in front of the school smoking. One thing that bothers me in France is the smoking. I’m not exaggerating but 99.99% of the population smokes. The smoking rate in France is high as the obesity rate in America. My classes are full with spoiled brats that stay on their phone and argue with the professor the entire class. I swear, the french love to argue. This was the first thing my first french friend told me about France. They argue even if they know they are wrong. Students are very disrespectful to professors here and most American professors at my school are having a hard time adapting to the French education system. I definitely love this place, but I have to say that the school is a bit disorganize for me. Don’t get me wrong I’m having a great time getting to know the culture and learning many great things about the French. I know that i will definitely experience reverse culture shock when I go back because I don’t know what personal space is anymore.
